BUCKEYE UNION HIGH SCHOOL

Since the first high school students graduated in Buckeye in 1921, the school has had a fascinating history of growth, change and development. Buckeye Union High School is located within the “historical downtown” city limits of Buckeye and serves approximately 1200 students in grades 9-12. BUHS is designated as “Highly Performing” by the Arizona Department of Education.

At Buckeye Union, students benefit from a Block Schedule that allows them to complete necessary coursework for high school graduation and university entrance, while still having time to take desired electives. Advanced placement, honors and dual enrollment courses are available in the areas of English, Math, History, Science and Spanish. The Career and Technical Education programs on campus include Agriscience and FFA, Auto Technology, Business Technology, Culinary Arts, Fire Science, JROTC, Sports Medicine, Drafting, Welding and Woodworking. Dance, drama, music/visual arts provide even more options for students during the academic day.
