Since the first high school students graduated in Buckeye in 1921, the school has had a fascinating history of growth, change and development. Buckeye Union High School is located within the “historical downtown” city limits of Buckeye and serves approximately 1200 students in grades 9-12. BUHS is an International Baccalaureate school and is graded “A” by the Arizona Department of Education.

At Buckeye Union, students benefit from a Block Schedule that allows them to complete necessary coursework for high school graduation and university entrance, while still having time to take desired electives. Advanced placement, honors and dual enrollment courses are available in the areas of English, Math, History, Science, and Spanish. The Career and Technical programs on campus include Agriscience and FFA, Auto Technology, Business Technology, Culinary Arts, Fire Science, JROTC, Sports Medicine, Drafting, Welding and Woodwork. Dance, drama, music/visual arts provide even more options for students during the academic day.
