Youngker High School opened in August of 2007 and is located off Watson Road and Lower Buckeye Road. The school, which is part of the Buckeye Union High School District, currently serves approximately 1400 students in grades 9-12. Youngker is designated as “Performing” by the Arizona Department of Education. At Youngker, students benefit from a Block Schedule that allows them to complete the necessary coursework required for high school graduation and university entrance, while still having time to take desired electives. Advanced Placement and honors courses are available in the areas of English, Mathematics, History, Science and Spanish. The Career and Technical Education programs include Business Management, Culinary Arts, Drafting Technologies, Allied Health Early Childhood Education, Woods, Diesel Mechanics and Cosmetology. Dance, drama, music and visual arts provide even more options for students during the academic day.
