Youngker High School opened in August of 2007 and is located off Watson Road and Lower Buckeye Road. The school, which is part of the Buckeye Union High School District, currently serves approximately 1400 students in grades 9-12.  Youngker is designated as “Performing” by the Arizona Department of Education.

At Youngker, students benefit from a Block Schedule that allows them to complete the necessary coursework required for high school graduation and university entrance, while still having time to take desired electives.  Advanced Placement and honors courses are available in the areas of English, Mathematics, History, Science and Spanish.  The Career and Technical Education programs include Business Management, Culinary Arts, Drafting Technologies, Allied Health Early Childhood Education, Woods, Diesel Mechanics and Cosmetology.  Dance, drama, music and visual arts provide even more options for students during the academic day.

The AIMS Testing Schedule will be as follows:
    October 28:  AIMS Writing
    October 29:  AIMS Reading
    October 30:  AIMS Math

Only Juniors or Seniors who have to Meet or those who are trying
to Exceed will be testing.  The rest of the students will attend their
classes as usual. 

There will be no changes to the start times during these three days of testing. 

Once the students finish their tests, they will be sent back to their classroom. 

Wednesday, October 29 will be a normal late start Wednesday, with classes
and testing beginning at 9:30 am.

Students who are testing will be sent a letter informing them of which classroom
to report to during the week of October 20-24.
