![]() Youngker High School3000 S Apache Rd Youngker High School, which opened in August of 2007, is located just off Watson Road and Lower Buckeye, south of Interstate 10 (approximately 1 mile south). The school, which is part of the Buckeye Union High School District , currently serves 320 students in grade 9. At Youngker, students benefit from the block schedule that allows them to complete the necessary coursework required for high school graduation and entrance to state universities, while still having time to take desired electives. Honors classes in Math and English are currently offered. Advanced Placement, and dual enrollment classes in the areas of English, Mathematics, History, Science and Spanish will be offered in the future. Career and Technical Education classes being offered are Sports Medicine and Early Childhood Education. CTE classes to be offered in the future, include; Photography, Woodworking and Construction, Business Management, Culinary Arts, and Drafting. We round off the education at Youngker by offering, Ceramics, Visual Arts, Dance, Music and ROTC. In addition, students at Youngker have the opportunity to participate in a variety of athletic and club activities as part of the RoughRider experience. Youngker is currently competing in the Arizona Interscholastic Association 4A Skyline Division. |
