YOUTH FOR YOUTH: Are you success driven? Are you interested in building your leadership skills? If so, Youth for Youth may be the club for you. Come check it out in room 2202 after school every Wednesday.

MTG (MAGIC THE GATHERING) CLUB: The MTG Club is looking for more members! Come check out a fun multiplayer strategy game you’ll love to play. We meet every Wednesday after school in room 801. Thanks!
STUDENT COUNCIL: Student Council will meet TODAY at 2:15 in the lecture Hall.
NHS BLOOD DRIVE: Donate blood on April 19! You can sign up for the Blood Drive during both lunches in the cafeteria. Donors must be at least 16 years old.
SCIENCE CLUB: Like science? Want to work on an independent science project? Interested in competing in science competitions such as Envirothon and the Arizona Science Bowl? Join Science Club! Everyone is welcome. First meeting will be April 20th after school in room 2119.
AP U.S. HISTORY TUTORING: AP United States History students taking the AP Exam on May 6th , we will start meeting in Room 803 every day after school from 2:05 – 3:00 to prepare for the exam.
SCIENCE AIMS TUTORING: Do you want to exceed on the Science AIMS? Come to room 2120 for a brief review of Biology. This occurs after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

GUIDANCE: Behind on credits? Summer school information packets are now available in Guidance. Come by and get yours today – sign-ups end May 19th!
SENIORS: Just a reminder that if you are working on courses through A+, they must be completed by May 2nd or you will not be able to participate in graduation.

FOOTBALL Attention all prospective JV and Varsity Football Players Spring Football starts next Monday, April 25th at 2:15 in the cafeteria for an hour long meeting. Bring a writing utensil and make sure to be on time. The first actual practice will be Tuesday and run through the next three weeks from 2:30pm to 4:30 pm Monday’s through Thursday’s for the next three weeks. We only have 12 days of Spring Football so make arrangements to make all of them. Even if you are currently in a Spring Sport this meeting is mandatory and your presence has already been cleared with your spring sports Head Coach. See you Next Monday and be part of something special!!!
Drama Club: The YHS Spring play, Flowers in the Desert, is this week, Friday and Saturday at 7PM. However, students can see a free performance Thursday at 7PM with their student ID. Come on out for a great performance.
Culture Club: The next meeting of the Culture Club will be April 21st, at 6PM at Estrella Foothills. All signed up travelers are invited to come as well as any students still interested in signing up for our trip to the Mediterranean. We will be serving an assortment of French Cheeses for you to sample. Hope to see you there. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Romito or Ms. McDermott.

PROM: It’s that time of year! UPPERCLASSMEN, for the next four days we will be accepting prom court nominations at our prom table during both lunches! Be sure to nominate your favorite senior, the voting will take place at prom.

BALFOUR: Balfour will be on campus on THURSDAY at both lunches! Don’t forget to pick up your graduation announcements!

NHS: National Honor Society will be meeting on Tuesday, April 5 after school.

SPEECH & DEBATE: Speech and Debate is still looking for new members.
There will be a brief meeting Tuesday after school in room 3106. Bring a friend!
PERFORMANCE DANCE: Tryouts for Youngker’s Performance dance class will be held this Thursday and Friday after school in the cafeteria. There is a mandatory clinic Thursday from 2:30-4:00 and tryouts will be held this Friday beginning at 2:45. This is the highest level dance class at YHS.
PROM: Don’t miss your chance to be a guest at this year’s Masquerade Ball at the Arrowhead Country Club! The couple’s tickets will cost $110 and the singles $75. Tickets are in high demand so don’t forget to buy them in the bookstore before they’re gone! Please keep in mind school dance dress code will be enforced and is posted in the bookstore.

MOVIE NIGHT: Youngker’s first annual Movie Night will be on Friday April 8th beginning at 6pm in the YHS PAC. Tickets are sold at both lunches $2 per ticket. The last day to buy your ticket is THURSDAY! So, hurry and get them before they are sold out! This is only open for YHS Students and you must have ID and ticket upon entry to PAC. If you lose your ticket, you must purchase another one before the FRIDAY.

SENIORS: The senior post high school plan form will be delivered to classes this Wednesday during second period. This form is used for the Senior Awards Ceremony and for other end of year functions. If you do not get a form on Tuesday, please stop by the Guidance office to pick one up. All forms are due on Tuesday, April 12th.

COLOR GUARD: Did you see the flags with the marching band and think, “Hey that looks fun. I want to try that!” Well, now’s your chance. Color guard will be having new member workshops Monday through Thursday of next week with tryouts on Friday, April 1st. We will meet in the band room after school. If you have any questions feel free to stop by Ms. Candelario’s room, 2205. We hope to see you there.

SPRING PLAY: Anyone who tried out for the Spring Play last week, please meet in the PAC immediately after school today.

BOY’S BASKETBALL: There is a Boys’ Basketball banquet to celebrate the season on Tuesday March 29th (tomorrow) from 3:30-4:30 in the cafeteria. If you have any questions please see Mr. Nelson.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL: All girls interested in playing Girls' Basketball, there is a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, March 30th at 9AM in room 2223.

STUDENT COUNCIL: Student Council will meet TODAY at 2:15 in the lecture Hall.
TRACK: On Friday the track team participated in the Chandler Rotary Meet and came away with some personal best. Jason Ortega broke the school record in the 3200 Meter run with a time of 9:58 and took 2nd overall, tied the school record in the 1600 meter with a time of 4:36 and took 3rd place overall. Damion Butler took 2nd overall in the long Jump by jumping 20 feet 6 inches. Regis Niyonkuru took 1st overall in the triple jump with a jump of 42 feet ½ inch. The 4x4 team of Jalen Willis, Nathan Scott, Greg Dotstry and Jabril Gray broke the school record with a time of 3:32

SKILLS USA: YHS SkillsUSA is hosting a coed glow in the dark volleyball tournament on April 1, 2016. The cost is $20.00 per team and each team must be 3 girls and three boys. Pay your $20.00 to the bookstore in the YHS SkillsUSA account and give a copy of the receipt with your team members and team name to Mr. Sexton in room 3107 by March 22. Come and join us for a great time playing volleyball under the black lights
