ANNOUNCEMENTS
ALL STUDENTS: The deadline to apply for West-Mec is rapidly approaching. The deadline is January 22nd to apply online. If you have questions, please see Mr. Bryan in the Guidance Department or go to the West-Mec site on-line at www.west-mec.org for additional information.  Remember, Sophomores generally receive priority in program placements, but Juniors and Seniors can also apply and often are able to get in.

ART CLUB: Art Club meets every Monday and Thursday. Come join us in the Art Rooms!
 
YOUTH FOR YOUTH: Are you success driven? Are you interested in building your leadership skills? If so, Youth for Youth may be the club for you. Come check it out in room 2202 after school every Wednesday.

SOFTBALL: For all girls not involved in a winter sport, open field for softball begins today from 3:00-5:00. Open field will run every week (Monday’s and Wednesday’s) thru tryouts which begin February 8th. 

TENNIS:  For all boys interested in playing Tennis this upcoming season, there will be a meeting on Wednesday January 20th at 9:00am in Coach Stark’s room #807.

MARINE BIOLOGY:  Attention ALL STUDENTS interested in Marine Biology!
Our Biosphere Field Trip is coming up, there will be a Club Meeting after school Wednesday January 20th in room 2121.  Bring your Money and get your permission slip!! 
E-SPORTS CLUB: Do you like competitive gaming? The YHS E- Sports club is now meeting in room 2120, Mr. VanAllsburg’s room, from 2:10 to 3pm every Wednesday. 

YEARBOOK: It’s time to think about your future without forgetting your memories. Yearbooks are a good way to do that. The sale is almost over! They are only $70 until spring break, get them while they last. February 1st is your last day to buy yearbooks! You can purchase a yearbook at the book store or at both lunches. We will not be accepting any orders after February 1st.  
SENIORS: Seniors! It’s your time to shine, buy a senior ad and let it happen! See the bookstore or Mr. Kinney to purchase one quick! Email your pictures to Mr. Kinney at joe.kinney@buhsd.org as well as any questions you may have.
MTG (MAGIC THE GATHERING) CLUB: The MTG Club is looking for more members! Come check out a fun multiplayer strategy game you’ll love to play.  We meet every Wednesday after school in room 801. Thanks!

SPEECH & DEBATE: Attention Speech and Debate members! There will be a short meeting in room 3106 on Tuesday 1/12 immediately following school. It is not too late to join! Bring a friend!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
ALL STUDENTS: If you are interested in applying for a West-MEC program for the 2016-17 school year make sure to stop by the West-MEC table at lunch next Monday, December 14th!!! Get your questions answered about the different programs, and even apply right there! The deadline for applications is quickly approaching, make sure to stop by at lunch or talk to your guidance counselor!
ALL STUDENTS: Theater Class will be performing its play on Wednesday, December 16th at 7PM. Student tickets will be $1 at the door. Please come support the hard work these students have put into this production.

SCIENCE NATIONAL HONORS SOCIETY: Science NHS club pictures are Wednesday after school at the main staircase in the 200 building. Wear your club shirt or a black shirt.
CHOIR: During lunch this week, you can purchase Sing-O-Grams in the cafeteria. Choir students will be visiting classrooms on Monday and Tuesday next as singing telegrams to perform a Christmas song for that special person of your choice. So don’t forget to stop by at lunch to get your Sing-O-Gram to show that very important somebody how much you care this holiday season.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: Listen up, if you wish to submit a senior quote for the yearbook it needs to be turned in by 3:00 pm on January 15th! That’s only 5 weeks away! You can turn it into Mr. Kinney in room 2105. If you decide to not submit a senior quote one will be chosen for you!

FOOTBALL: Attention all Varsity, JV and Freshman Football Players:  The football banquet for all players at all levels is this Friday, December 11th at 6:00pm in the Cafeterium.  Please let Coach Epley, Coach Becker or Coach Dumas know if you cannot make it.  See Coach Epley in Room 2101 to see what each team is assigned to bring.  You were part of the beginning of something special come be a part of the celebration this Friday night!!

ALL STUDENTS: Come on out to see the Winter Holiday Concert on Tuesday, December 8 at 7:00 PM in the Youngker Performing Arts Center.  The Youngker High School band, choir, and orchestra will be performing festive music for the season.  There will be a $3.00 admission fee.  Be sure to invite your friends and family.  See you there!
