Thursday, December 3rd: Seniors, it’s not too late to order your Cap & Gown! Place your order with Balfour this Thursday during lunches in the cafeteria. Information packets are available in the front office.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

SENIORS: Financial Aid night is around the corner and we would like for you to RSVP for the event in the Guidance office.  Those students that RSVP for the event will be entered into a drawing for some fun prizes to be given out the evening of the event.

ALL STUDENTS: Attention all Varsity, JV and Freshman Football Players not currently in a winter sport:  Next Year starts TODAY Monday November 30th.  Strength Training will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:15pm to 4:00pm. If you are not currently in a winter sport and plan on playing football next year you are required to lift after school starting Today. If you have any questions contact Coach Epley in Room 2101. Speed and Agility Training will also begin this week on Tuesday and Thursday’s with Coach York. All Prospective Football Players are required to attend both lifting and speed training if not currently in a sport. Commitment to be the best begins NOW!!!

 CULTURE CLUB: The culture club is traveling the European Mediterranean Spring Break of 2017! Come join us as we explore Italy, France and Spain. It’s not too late to sign up or simply come get some information! The next meeting will be December 2nd, immediately after school in room 2208.

DRAMA CLUB: The next drama club meeting will be held in the PAC on Thursday, December 3rd immediately after school. All are invited. We’ll be taking the yearbook picture!

ALL STUDENTS: This is the last week for the Food Drive! Please bring in all of your canned food by Thursday – All food will be picked up during second hour on Thursday! Remember, the 2nd hour class with the most pounds of food wins an awesome lunch. Currently Mrs. Forget is in the lead with 209 pounds of food!

NATIONAL HONORS SOCIETY: Buy a frozen treat from CasA De Yogurt on Wednesday November 18th and help out Science National Honor Society. No flyer or coupon required.
SPEECH AND DEBATE: ANYONE PLANNING ON ATTENDING THE TOURNAMENT FOR SPEECH AND DEBATE ON FRIDAY 11/20, PLEASE SEE MS. BUQUICCHIO IN ROOM 3016 BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY.
INTERACT CLUB: Do you like animals? Well the YHS Interact club is hosting the Arizona Humane Society shelter pet supply drive. Bring in supplies from the wish list which will be posted all around campus to your first hour. The first hour class with the most supplies will win a tasty treat!
MARINE BIOLOGY: Attention ALL STUDENTS!
There will be a Marine Biology Club Meeting Right after school Tuesday September 22 in room 2121. Don’t forget that Deposits for Catalina Island are Due October 1st if you plan on going!
ALL STUDENTS: The YHS Dance Concert “Fall Into Dance” is this Thursday and Friday at 7pm in the PAC. Tickets are $5 at the door. Don’t miss out!

ALL STUDENTS: Don’t forget to bring your canned or non-perishable food to your 2nd hour. The 2nd hour class with the most pounds at the end of the drive will receive lunch prepared by our AWESOME culinary students! Currently, Mrs. Forget is in the lead with 141 pounds! 
Remember: This is not only a school competition, but also a district completion! Help us beat Estrella and Buckeye! Also, for every item you bring in to the library you will get 50 cents off your book fees and it will count toward your 2nd hour class!!!!
 
Don’t forget – Kona Ice will be here every Tuesday between the big and small gyms from 2:05 to 3:00. Slushies start at $3.00 and are delicious!

WRESTLING: Wrestling Manager Needed-You can Earn A Letter! Come by the Wrestling Room After School.  Anybody that wantS to Wrestle report to wrestling room after school. 

Meeting on Monday @ 2pm November 9th Freshmen there will be a sign up sheet on the stage both lunches all week as well as  in the wresting room (next to the training room in the big gym) from 6:30-7:00am before school.

PICTURE RETAKE DAY IS OCTOBER 29TH BEGINNING AT 7:30 AM!

ALL STUDENTS: ATTENTION ROUGHRIDERS! The canned food drive is in full swing! Make sure to bring your cans to your second hour teacher. MARINE BIOLOGY: Attention students of the Marine Biology Catalina Island Trip, there will be a parent Meeting Next Thursday Oct. 29 at 515pm in the Big Gym Classroom rm 560. Dates for the Trip are March 20-25. Students and Parents are required to attend, see Mrs. Thorpe in rm 2121 for any questions
SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS:  All sophomores and Juniors interested in the RYLA Come to
Guidance to pick up an informational brochure and go to www.RYLA5490.org to apply. Applications 
will be accepted until October 30th so don’t delay!
