Health & Well Being

School Campuses and Classrooms

● Every attempt will be made to social distance in the classroom but may not be possible in all classes depending on numbers.  Classroom seating will be arranged at tables or desks facing one direction with as much space as possible between students and staff.

● As much as possible, physical distancing will be maintained in open or common areas, such as hallways, stairwells, gyms, and auditoriums.  Hallways and walkways will be clearly marked with instructions to designate traffic flow to minimize congestion and congregation.

● Restrooms will remain open to all students and staff, but social distancing guidelines should be followed.

● Students will utilize their own school supplies and keep their items in their backpack throughout the day.

● Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle to school. Students can refill from one of our water filling stations on campus. Regular water fountains will not be available.

● Signage will be posted throughout campus regarding optional face coverings, hand washing procedures and social distancing reminders.

 FACE COVERINGS

Face coverings for preventing Covid-19 are optional for all students, staff, and visitors.

Cloth Face coverings must align with the district dress code; including covering a person’s nose and mouth, ideally fitting snugly but comfortably against the sides of the face and under the chin, remaining affixed in place without the use of one’s hands and are not to have holes.

HAND HYGIENE

FREQUENT HAND WASHING/CLEANING IS ENCOURAGED AT REGULAR INTERVALS THROUGHOUT THE DAY WITH BOTH SOAP AND WATER OR HAND SANITIZER. INSTRUCTIONS FOR HAND WASHING INCLUDE:

● Hand sanitizer will be available at various stations strategically located throughout high-traffic areas of campus.

● All classrooms will have hand sanitizer.

HEALTH SCREENINGS

Prevention begins at home. Students should stay home if they feel ill or are exhibiting any symptoms of COVD-19; cough, sore throat, headaches, congestion/runny nose, fever of 100.4 or higher, difficulty breathing, aches/chills, vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea.

We encourage families to utilize our Family Health Guide for a friendly one page resource to determine if your child should attend school.

Students will be reminded of proper hygiene, including: Avoiding touching the eyes, nose, and mouth and covering the mouth when coughing.

Covering the nose when sneezing and safely discarding tissues.
