Upcoming PSAT Test

BUHS/EFHS/YHS is offering the PSAT (the practice test for SAT) for 10th and 11th graders on Tuesday, January 26, 202l.  Information on how your student registers for the PSAT will be forthcoming closer to the date of the test.

WHY TAKE THE PSAT?

- Assess your skill levels and readiness for college and careers.
- Prepare for the SAT with recommendations based on individual performance on the PSAT/NMSQT.
- Access college planning resources that can help you explore careers, colleges, majors, scholarships, and more.
- Enter the National Merit Scholarship Program for recognition and scholarships (junior year only).

The PSAT has traditionally been given in October.  This year, the College Board offered a January test date with all the same benefits for students as the October date.  As a school, we chose this option in order to provide students more time to progress in their Math sequence and prepare overall before taking the test.

Upcoming ACT Test for Seniors only

BUHS/EFHS/YHS is offering the ACT for 12th Grade students on Saturday, February 6, 202l.  Information on how your student registers for the ACT will be forthcoming closer to the date of the test.

The ACT was going to be given to all Juniors in Spring 2020, but due to COVID-19, the test was postponed until February 6, 2021.   As a school, we chose this option in order to provide students more time to prepare overall before taking the test, while keeping the students and staff as safe as possible.  This is a national test date and your student’s test cost will be paid for by the school district, or through your enrollment in the Free or Reduced lunch program.

All Juniors will be taking the ACT during the school day in April 2021.
