BUCKEYE, AZ — Buckeye Union High School District is proud to announce that Buckeye FFA Advisor Kelli Wilson has been selected to serve as a National Teacher Ambassador for the 2026–2027 school year through the National FFA Organization.
Wilson is among just 88 agricultural educators from 38 states chosen for this prestigious leadership role. National Teacher Ambassadors are highly respected agricultural educators who receive specialized training to support fellow teachers through professional development, mentorship, and educational resources. They also serve as subject-matter experts and advocates for agricultural education at the national level.
The National Teacher Ambassador program is designed to strengthen agricultural education by equipping experienced educators to share best practices, lead workshops, facilitate training sessions, and support agriculture teachers across the country. Ambassadors play an important role in helping educators enhance classroom instruction, student engagement, and career readiness opportunities.
As part of the 2026–2027 cohort, Wilson will join a network of agricultural education leaders dedicated to supporting more than 13,000 FFA advisors nationwide. The program has continued to expand in recent years, reflecting the growing need for teacher leadership and collaboration within agricultural education.
Wilson's selection recognizes her commitment to student success, leadership development, and agricultural education. Through her work with Buckeye FFA, she has helped students develop skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, and agricultural sciences while preparing them for future educational and career opportunities.
This national recognition highlights the quality agricultural education program offered at Buckeye Union High School and underscores the impact educators can have both inside and outside the classroom. Wilson will represent Arizona while serving as a valuable resource for agriculture teachers throughout the United States during her year of service.
The National FFA Organization serves more than one million student members through over 9,400 local chapters nationwide. Its mission is to develop students' potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
Buckeye Union High School District congratulates Kelli Wilson on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to the positive impact she will make as a National Teacher Ambassador.
