BUCKEYE, AZ — Students from across Buckeye Union High School District have earned more than $43 million in reported scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year, demonstrating the outstanding achievements and postsecondary opportunities secured by this year's graduating class.

The scholarship totals were announced by Dr. Leslie Standerfer, Assistant Superintendent of Academics, during the Governing Board meeting on June 15.

Collectively, graduates from Buckeye Union High School, Estrella Foothills High School, and Youngker High School reported $43,060,825 in scholarship offers from colleges, universities, military programs, community organizations, and other institutions throughout the United States.

Students received scholarship offers from a wide range of postsecondary institutions, including prestigious Ivy League universities such as Brown University and Harvard University, major public universities, private colleges, community colleges including Estrella Mountain Community College, military-affiliated programs, and numerous local and national scholarship providers.

The district's largest reported total came from Youngker High School, where students earned $19,689,292 in scholarship offers. Estrella Foothills High School students reported $15,038,410, while Buckeye Union High School students earned $8,333,123 in scholarship awards.

These scholarship offers represent a variety of opportunities, including academic merit scholarships, athletic scholarships, leadership and service awards, career and technical education scholarships, military funding opportunities, and need-based financial assistance. Many students received multiple offers as they explored postsecondary pathways aligned with their goals and interests.

The scholarship totals reflect the commitment of BUHSD students to academic excellence, leadership, service, and college and career readiness. They also underscore the support provided by teachers, counselors, staff members, families, and community partners who help students prepare for success after graduation.

Whether attending a four-year university, community college, trade program, entering military service, or pursuing a career directly after high school, BUHSD graduates continue to demonstrate that they are prepared to achieve their postsecondary goals and contribute positively to their communities.

The combined total of $43,060,825 in scholarships highlights the significant opportunities available to students throughout Buckeye Union High School District and serves as a testament to the accomplishments of the Class of 2026.
