Did you know? St. Patrick’s Day began as a religious feast day honoring St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, who is credited with spreading Christianity throughout the country. The shamrock, seen throughout today’s celebrations, was said to be used by St. Patrick to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity.
Over time, the holiday has grown into a global celebration of Irish culture, traditions, and heritage, filled with music, food, and, of course, lots of green!
Today is a great reminder that learning can happen everywhere, even in the traditions we celebrate.
